U2 puts my sighing into words when they sing “I can’t live with or without you“. The “you” I am talking about is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and my basic question is whether that “you” is real or not.
I have always wondered whether God exists or not but six years ago I have come to terms with that question and have lived a happy life of faith since then. But, suddenly, in the spring of 2008, out of nowhere, the weather changed and I have questioned again whether the person I pray to is real.
It’s been a strange journey since then. Much of this questioning was coupled with fear and despair. But sometimes it’s also a colourful journey of suspense and hope. And it is a journey that is accompanied by a constant stream of thought and reflection.
The goal of this blog is to record observations, questions, and thoughts. Expressing helps so much.
Personal Information:
I am a 30 years old. I live in Europe and I do research at a university. I love many things other people love, too, such as reading a good book, strumming my guitar when I come home from work, a discussion about politics, playing a game with my friends, and spending time with a wonderful woman I got to know last year. I also have some quirks.

By the way, I’ve added a blogroll (which I inted to continuously adapt). I’m very grateful for good hints concerning further blogs to add!!
And btw, not that I want to be one-sided, but I’m particularly grateful for hints about blogs where Christians debate the issues that I’m interested in (and where they do this in an intelligent, open-minded and faithful manner).
